An elegant evergreen ground cover native to Australia, featuring fresh green, semi-succulent leaves that are narrow, blunt, and thick. In late spring to early summer, it produces clusters of honey-scented white tubular flowers, followed by small globular berries. Fast-growing and low-maintenance, this lush plant is perfect for filling gaps, under-planting, cascading over embankments, or trailing over retaining walls and raised garden beds.
Summer
This adaptable plant Grows well in most soils and is moderately tolerant of coastal conditions. Once established, it is drought-tolerant and requires little water, though occasional watering during hot periods helps maintain growth. Thrives in high temperatures and is frost-hardy. Mulching helps retain moisture and suppress weeds. Fertilise occasionally with a slow-release, low-phosphorus fertiliser. Pruning is only needed if shaping or controlling spread.
