The most slender of the ornamental pears, a standout choice for narrow spaces and restricted planting areas. With its upright, pyramidal form, arguably the narrowest growing cultivar in Australia, it offers strong vertical structure and year round appeal. In early spring, dense clusters of fragrant white flowers cover the branches, attracting pollinators and delivering a striking ornamental display. This tree is ideal for driveways, screens, avenues, and tight garden beds where space is at a premium.
Adapts well to a variety of soils, including clay and loam, and tolerates heat and moderate drought once established. It requires minimal maintenance, with pruning generally limited to removing dead or damaged branches. Feed with a granular or liquid fertiliser in spring to support healthy growth and flowering.
