Acompact ornamental pear with a dense, well-rounded habit, making it ideal for small to medium sized gardens. Exceptionally hardy, it tolerates poor soil, wind, drought, frost, and even slightly boggy conditions. Its green summer foliage transforms into a brilliant display of yellow, orange, and deep red in autumn, often holding its colour longer than other pears. Spring brings a profusion of white blossoms, adding seasonal interest and charm to this tough yet beautiful tree.
Adapts well to a variety of soils, and tolerates heat and moderate drought once established. It requires minimal maintenance, with pruning generally limited to removing dead or damaged branches. Feed with a granular or liquid fertiliser in spring to support healthy growth and flowering.
