A much-loved variety producing large, golden fruit with a red blush and smooth skin. Renowned for its rich, sweet flavour, it’s ideal for fresh eating, jam, drying, stewing, and juice. This self-pollinating tree matures mid to late season, from late January to early February, and makes a beautiful and productive addition to any garden.
Self-Fertile
Plant in full sun with well-drained soil—apricots don’t tolerate waterlogging. Apricots are only moderately drought-tolerant and need regular watering to bear fruit. Fertilise in early spring and again in autumn with a balanced fertiliser. Mulch to retain moisture but keep it clear of the trunk. Prune lightly in late summer to maintain shape and encourage airflow. Protect from late frosts during flowering.
