Cupped, old-fashioned blooms in soft lemon and butter-gold tones are carried in generous clusters, releasing a distinctive anise and spice fragrance. This compact, well-rounded bush features dense, medium green foliage with a glossy finish and strong disease resistance. While it’s armed with plenty of thorns, its vibrant colour and rich scent more than make up for its prickly nature.
Plant in full sun in well-drained soil. Water newly planted roses daily during their first season. Once established (after a year), two deep soaks per week during warm weather will keep them thriving. Apply a soil wetter in spring and again in mid-summer to improve water penetration. Feed every four weeks from late April to early May with a quality rose fertiliser. Prune in winter to encourage healthy new growth, and follow with a lime sulphur spray to help prevent fungal disease. Apply mulch to retain moisture, keeping it clear of the base of the plant.
