Well-formed bright yellow blooms with subtle green overtones open slowly and hold their shape and colour exceptionally well, even in heat. St Patrick features attractive grey-green foliage on a bushy, upright shrub. Hardy and disease resistant, this rose combines durability with a unique and striking flower display.
Plant in full sun in well-drained soil. Water newly planted roses daily during their first season. Once established (after a year), two deep soaks per week during warm weather will keep them thriving. Apply a soil wetter in spring and again in mid-summer to improve water penetration. Feed every four weeks from late April to early May with a quality rose fertiliser. Prune in winter to encourage healthy new growth, and follow with a lime sulphur spray to help prevent fungal disease. Apply mulch to retain moisture, keeping it clear of the base of the plant.
