Beautiful golden apricot blooms with softly ruffled petals and a rich, fruity rose fragrance make this variety a standout in any garden. The large, semi-double flowers appear in flushes throughout the season and are held on long, almost thornless stems. With a golden yellow heart and cerise pink petal tips, the colour contrast is both striking and elegant. This versatile rose can be grown as a large, upright bush or trained as a small climber. Its impressive bloom form and gentle scent also make it an excellent choice for cutting.
Plant in full sun in well-drained soil. Water newly planted roses daily during their first season. Once established (after a year), two deep soaks per week during warm weather will keep them thriving. Apply a soil wetter in spring and again in mid-summer to improve water penetration. Feed every four weeks from late April to early May with a quality rose fertiliser. Prune in winter to encourage healthy new growth, and follow with a lime sulphur spray to help prevent fungal disease. Apply mulch to retain moisture, keeping it clear of the base of the plant.
