This rose had large, chalice-shaped blooms with apricot hues on the inside of the petals and paler apricot-yellow shades on the outside. Its strong fruity fragrance, reminiscent of guava and sweet white wine, sometimes carries a delightful citrus bias.
Plant in full sun in well-drained soil. Water newly planted roses daily during their first season. Once established (after a year), two deep soaks per week during warm weather will keep them thriving. Apply a soil wetter in spring and again in mid-summer to improve water penetration. Feed every four weeks from late April to early May with a quality rose fertiliser. Prune in winter to encourage healthy new growth, and follow with a lime sulphur spray to help prevent fungal disease. Apply mulch to retain moisture, keeping it clear of the base of the plant.
