A popular Australian pear variety used for fresh eating, cooking, preserving, drying and juice. Produces large, flavourful fruit with excellent storage qualities. Ripens mid-season, from late February to early March. The tree has a rounded, spreading shape and is a reliable, consistent cropper.

Plant in full sun or light shade. Tolerates clay soils but prefers well-drained, fertile ground. Mulch to retain moisture. Fertilise in spring. Prune in winter to shape young trees; mature trees need minimal pruning. Begins fruiting after 3–5 years
