A medium to large Japanese plum with red to dark blue skin and noticeable lenticels. Yellow flesh is firm and meaty, with pink/red tones that deepen as the fruit ripens. A good flavoured variety with moderate juice. Ripens early to mid-January
Santa Rosa
Choose a full sun position, protected from strong winds. Feed with fertiliser in spring and summer, and use liquid fertiliser during fruiting for an extra boost. Prune after fruiting in summer to maintain size and shape, removing dead, diseased, or inward-growing branches.
