Large, ice-lavender blooms with a strong, sweet fragrance make this one of the most loved among ‘blue’ roses. Carried on long, slender stems, the flowers have a classic rose form and appear generously on a vigorous, upright bush. With medium growth and a free-flowering habit, this variety adds elegance and a cool-toned charm to garden beds or cut flower arrangements.
Plant in full sun in well-drained soil. Water newly planted roses daily during their first season. Once established (after a year), two deep soaks per week during warm weather will keep them thriving. Apply a soil wetter in spring and again in mid-summer to improve water penetration. Feed every four weeks from late April to early May with a quality rose fertiliser. Prune in winter to encourage healthy new growth, and follow with a lime sulphur spray to help prevent fungal disease. Apply mulch to retain moisture, keeping it clear of the base of the plant.
